Teams can first establish the baseline, validate one workflow, train the people who own it and then use evidence from that step to decide what should be extended.

Which systems are most important to keep available? Who owns each administrator account? Where can remote access enter the environment? What evidence is needed to investigate an alert? How will services be recovered after a disruption? These answers connect cybersecurity to practical business and operational continuity.
A useful brief records these answers alongside a clear success condition. It should identify what is in scope, what is not in scope, the responsible stakeholders, acceptance checks, training requirements and the route for future changes. This helps decision-makers compare options on operational fit, not only on feature lists. It also gives the eventual support team a starting point for monitoring, maintenance and improvement.
